a steering wheel

a

When an idea is propounded,A little later is confounded,How can life expound a new way,When there is breathless inhibition?Baseless fear blinds the mind,A rootless root is its kind,Tensed, confused and deformed,A massive wealth is dissolved,In a mind scattered and dismayed,The strange chronic fear betrays,The knowledge of reality to prevail. When a nascent perception of truth begins,Understanding...

myth to muse

m

The dreams So few to muse,Are deterred By new to a view,Of tomorrow Near and here,What is eclipsed Cheer or fear? What is arranged First and last?Such a plane is Life as a knife,In a bid to cut longings,Is there a wilful segregationOf the few and the trueTo ride into a dawn ofDauntless river of pride? ( Dreams are akin to myths which cannot be a reality. Even if there are a few good dreams which...

our nation

o

For many years our nation strived, To achieve and attain in its stride, Material development sans the spiritual, Our vain political ritual, Tangled in a web of confusion, Corruption has no inhibition, Rare opportunities for talent new, Laws framed for select few, Terrorism and hedonism thrive, In a nation which strived. One feels sorry to see its state, States fighting for their cakes, It suffers...

Fumes

F

It is myself I turn into,To see the region of truth. But there are fumes,Blurring my inner blooms.Fumes are like dreams,Vanishing into the void. They sprawl into vengeful clouds,Like a smokescreen which shrouds,The in-most perception of reality,It devours the in-most gaiety.

( It is difficult to face reality if one does not know the hidden truth in oneself.)

sleep

s

My mind gets on to a trip,
When drowsiness unknown grips,
The movement of thoughts unrestrained,
I am in the world of indolence,
Absolved and unconstrained,
Sweetest slumber envelops me,
Soft, sluggish, cosy,
I descend into sleep,
Sleep shrouds me in vain,
It cannot remain,
Since the noisy whimsical world,
Breaks my transit into sleep.

( Sleep is akin to peace when there is no disturbance.)

probe

p

Pick up and findA cherishable moment you can,In a life so soreWith disease and death,Haunting our closet of delights. Pick up and findA valuable thing you can,In a life so vainWith nothing to retain. Pick up and findA permanent thing you can,Clear, crystal and luminous,In a life so defiant in purpose,Concrete and clear. ( Probing one’s life helps one to know its...

ditty

d

Listen to a cheerful ditty,
Of beauty blended neatly,
With a life of experience,
Misperceptions have no occurrence,
It is a world of fest,
Work is joyous,
Food is scrumptious,
Sleep is rest,
Free from pests,
Mind is free
Of hatred and greed,
Vain is mental beauty,
Without a cheerful ditty,
Fostering a lyrical life.

( Happy new year to all. Let’s begin the year with a ditty)

mystic

m

You jerk, jump and stop,All of a sudden, you get up,To a world where wisdom sways,Like a pendulum to and fro,It errs, leaps, jumps or falls,Zooms like a rocket into space.

Mystic is a scientific Tarzan,Muscled by a shooting imagination,The mind soars into dark space,Lighted by an anomalous grace,It probes the spatial mystery,Beyond human history.

(Mind has the capacity to soar itself into space.)

boredom

b

2 Boredom is a chore Which slackens the mind. Boredom is a plight, Which drags the fight. Boredom is the hinge, Which moves not an inch. Boredom is the settler, Who does not flutter. Boredom is the gum, Which sticks you dumb. Boredom is the tomb, Where interest has no room. Boredom is the culprit, Which engulfs dulpit. Never is a whore, As insipid as boredom. Boredom dwells in us, Indispensable...

oblivion

o

The foggy avenue says
Nothing,
The twittering birds say
Nothing,
The meek God dwells to say
Nothing,
Dwell meekly to exist,
Exist like the meek
Creatures of the earth,
A worm from cow dung,
Dwells to say nothing.

Revolve and not revolt,
Revolve and revolve,
To stagger, to fade,
To whirl round and round
Into the oblivion.

( Sometimes we experience black holes in our minds. We enter into oblivion.)
