Nice to be with you all for my third video on ‘Ripples Roping Memories’.
Mogra chawl is one of the many chawls in Sthaipada. There are four rows of houses in Mogra chawl. Each row has eight houses. Houses have tiled roofs which are sufficiently high. Houses of the two rows face each other. Some of the houses have fences of trimmed plants in the front yard. After the last house of the Mogra chawl on the left hand side there is a road and adjacent to it is a maidan or open space used for sports or for entertainment. The maidan is flanked by chawls similar to Mogra chawl on the opposite side. Some chawls have maidan or open space with trees in the middle. There is another road on the right hand side of the Mogra chawl. This road is intercepted by a road which leads to Sthaipada railway crossing. After having crossed the railway gate, one has to walk along the railway lines to reach Vanavli station. The road which leads to the railway crossing have many small shops on both the sides. There is one private dispensary in the vicinity of the railway gate. There are provision stores run by Marwaris, shops which sell stationery and a tailoring shop too.
Rani is happy to play with her friends on the maidan and sits under the trees eating wild berries.
